As a counsellor and psychotherapist, I take your privacy seriously and am committed to protecting your personal information in line with data protection laws, including the UK GDPR.  I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

WHAT INFORMATION I COLLECT

I may collect and store:

Your name, contact details, date of birth, emergency contact, and GP information.

Brief notes from our sessions.

Relevant health or background information you choose to share.

Payment and appointment details.

This information is used to provide you with safe, effective therapy and to meet ethical and legal requirements.

HOW YOUR INFORMATION IS STORED

All personal data is stored securely—whether digitally (using encrypted, password-protected systems) or on paper (kept in a locked location). Only I have access to your information.

ONLINE SESSIONS

For online therapy, I use Google Meet. I do not record sessions, and I ask that you don’t either.

SHARING INFORMATION

Your information is confidential and will not be shared unless:

You request it to be shared.

There is a legal obligation.

There is serious risk of harm to you or others.

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

Access your data.

Request corrections.

Ask for your data to be deleted (in line with legal/ethical obligations).
